Sam, a founder of The Health Hub, is an experienced Chiropractor with over 10 years’ experience. Having received the Award for Clinical Excellence from the University of Glamorgan at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic (a prestigious award given to the Best Clinician in the graduating year,) Sam went on to help run a clinic for over 10 years. Now he has set up The Health Hub so he can focus on the care of his patients and help them get back to living a full life again. Sam, keen to develop his knowledge base, is a regular attendee on training courses as he consistently thrives to provide patients with the best, most current techniques and methods of treatment.

Sam spends the majority of his time helping treat people with back pain, which he finds incredibly rewarding. In addition to this Sam, a keen sportsman himself, particularly enjoys working with amateur and professional athletes and sportspeople so he can help them reach their peak potential.

Jodie, a founder of The Health Hub, is a qualified, chartered physiotherapist who has a passion for treating people regardless of their injury. Having started work within the NHS, Jodie has worked across the country in both the public and private sectors. Now she has set up The Health Hub where she can focus her attention on all aspects of physiotherapy.

Jodie has always had a keen interest in sports and rehabilitation and she studied for her Masters in Australia where she was able to work alongside some of Australia’s top Olympic Physiotherapists covering a number of disciplines. In addition to this, Jodie is passionate about the management and treatment of women’s health with a particular focus on antenatal and postnatal physiotherapy.

Jodie is constantly learning new techniques to best support the care of her patients and is able to offer needling and acupuncture which she can combine with her physiotherapy and pilates training to offer a complete treatment package.

Lachlan has been practicing as a Registered Osteopath for 20 years having studied at the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone, Kent. He has worked with a variety of patients having spent 15 years in London at a well-known yoga centre as well as practicing locally at The Heeler Centre for 7 years.

Prior to qualifying as an Osteopath, Lachlan was a musician/vocal coach for many years.

Kirk is a Chartered Physiotherapist graduating at the University of Brighton following a career change from the finance sector. He is also qualified in medical acupuncture. Kirk is enthusiastic about health and fitness, with hobbies that include CrossFit and Cricket.

Kirk treats all areas of Musculoskeletal pain and injuries with a particular interest in helping others overcome chronic low back pain and nerve pain symptoms from conditions such as a spinal disc herniations.  Other areas of speciality include post operative care from knee and hip surgery, as well as rehabilitation to knees, ankles and shoulders.

Kirk employs a range of modalities to treat and manage patients pain including soft tissue therapy, acupuncture and exercise rehabilitation, where he is passionate not only to relieve his patients’ symptoms but return them to the hobbies they enjoy most.

Kirk works with a number of private healthcare insurance providers including AXA, AVIVA, Simply Health, WPA, Westfield and bhsf.

Martin is a qualified and Chartered Physiotherapist and graduated from the University of Brighton. Martin previously completed a Sport and Exercise Science degree in Liverpool and then worked as a Physiotherapy Assistant in Musculoskeletal Outpatients where his love of Physiotherapy and rehabilitation came from.

Alongside his private work, Martin previously worked in the NHS as a Senior Physiotherapist assessing and treating patients. Martin lead a lower limb rehabilitation class, speed and agility class and ran an orthopaedics post-operative clinic. In addition to working with us, Martin also works part time as an academy Physiotherapist at Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club which provides great experience and exposure to the rehabilitation of elite athletes.

Martin has a strong interest in specialist exercise rehabilitation in particular post-operative ACL rehabilitation and returning patients back to sport. He is a keen runner and golfer in his spare time. Martin is also AACP qualified – Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, which provides a great treatment tool that when warranted can enhance patients results.

Georgie graduated from St Mary’s University with a degree in Sports Rehabilitation in 2008. With over a decade of experience Georgie has worked in a variety of settings including gyms, multidisciplinary clinics, and with professional sports teams. This involves helping people suffering from pain and injury with the musculoskeletal system through exercise rehabilitation, movement education, and manual therapy.

Georgie immersed herself in the Pilates matwork training for a year with Pilates Foundation in 2009, and another year in the Apparatus in 2012. Then specialising in Pre and Postnatal Pilates too. With a large number of patients needing more than hands on treatment she finds using Pilates exercises a great way of helping individuals return to their sport or goal. Georgie was the Pilates instructor for Harlequins for two seasons where she worked alongside the medical team to help players return to rugby after injury.

Georgie has a particular love of all things active and is a keen runner, sea swimmer, and netball player. She is passionate about getting you back to your sport or hobby whatever it may be. She has undergone an additional diploma in the John Gibbons Bodymaster Method which has deepened her understanding of the body. And regularly uses the methods taught such as Kinesiology taping, Muscle Energy Techniques, Advance Soft Tissue Techniques, and Dry Needling.

Since having three children her drive has grown to help women in the postnatal period. To educate women on their pelvic floor, diastasis separation (if it has occurred) and the importance of building core strength back up again to cope with the demands children throw at you! With a number of friends having c sections, and the questions that came with it Georgie’s interest grew in how to help c section scars. She started with Emma Holly’s Introduction to ScarWork and the results were so fantastic that Georgie went on to become part of the first group of therapists to be trained as C-Section Scar Specialists with Restore Scar Therapy.

Tina has been a sports massage therapist and biomechanics coach for 12 years. She is a Personal Trainer (PT) who specialised in phase 4 cardiac rehabilitation for 10 years in association with the BACR. Tina’s motivation to do sports massage in 2007 was to help sporty, active children, (young cricketers at the time,) as Tina felt they needed care, guidance, tips and tools to be able to help look after their young, growing bodies to give them the best chance of reaching their full potential.

Tina loves people and helping them to just feel better, less stressed and with positive outcomes. The human body is an incredible but complicated machine. It fascinates her and she is therefore constantly learning, she loves it!

Note from Tina: “I may be rather vertically challenged but do not let my size fool you! They don’t call me the ‘pocket rocket’ for nothing…”

Dani qualified in 2017 having trained at the London School of Sports Massage and is also a qualified Personal Trainer, so she knows a thing or two about the human body. She also has experience of working in a sedentary office job, so she knows first-hand how Sports Massage can really help those tight hips, lower back, neck and shoulders caused by the day job!

You might recognise Claire as she also works as part of the reception team at the Health Hub. Throughout her career and personal life her passion has always been customer service, caring about people, and health matters. Claire has always really focused on this, and this comes out if she is your Massage Therapist.

Claire has a deep-rooted love of sport, watching and joining in. In her younger days she was a fitness instructor and competitive swimmer. She now enjoys open water swimming, the gym, yoga and cycling.

“Our bodies fitness and wellbeing gives us the greatest key to happiness and fulfilment. It is our only “true home”, and so looking after it is paramount”.

Claire is qualified with the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) to give Deep Tissue Sports Massage, relaxing full body massage or a combination of the two. Her mission will be to give you and your body a personalised and beneficial massage. Her aim: to make you feel “at home”.

Laura retrained as a Sports Therapist in 2020 after having enough of corporate life and hasn’t looked back since! She has a level 4 sporting injury and massaged diploma and continualy works on upskilling herself so stay tuned for what’s next.

Her favourite part of the job is problem solving and helping her clients achieve their physical goals, as well as improving their general health. Laura truly believes that no one’s body is the same and not one size fits all.

In Laura’s spare time she is mainly found in the gym, she believes her love for keeping fit and healthy really helps her in her role as a therapist.

Tanya is an experienced massage therapist with clients across Sussex.  Specialisms include aromatherapy massage, deep tissue, head & facial massage, hot stones, pregnancy and oncology massage.  Treatments are tailored to the individual patient.

‘I enjoy treating people from all walks of life.  It is rewarding when new people experience the benefits of massage for the first time and see what a big difference it can make to their fitness and wellbeing. It’s good to see that more people are investing in their own health and I have been treating a lot of my patients now for several years’.

With a keen interest in the science behind massage, it has been established that treatments are proven to boost the immune system, improve circulation, keep muscles and joints flexible and aid recovery.  Overall massage provides a myriad of physical and mental health benefits.

Having previously taught fitness classes to adults and children, in 2020 when lockdown hit Tanya turned to Pilates to keep fit at home and loved it!  Taking advice from her physio colleagues she decided to train to teach with APPI (the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute) as this method would provide a clinical form of Pilates which would be beneficial for many patients.

Paramount in her decision to train was the proven results which Tanya saw for herself.  Having sustained a prolapsed cervical disc which left her with muscle weakness and spasms if she over trained, practising Pilates made a huge difference and demonstrated what excellent results can be achieved.

The APPI Method has taken the original 34 Joseph Pilates exercises and adapted them so they are suitable for patients working at a wide variety of levels, from people who are new to exercise to those who are accomplished athletes.  Pilates builds strength, stability, flexibility and a strong core that will help prevent back pain.  Everyday tasks become easier and it is an exercise form that can be practised at any age.  Tanya has also completed Pilates for Healthy Bones training as she has a special interest in Osteoporosis, how Pilates can help prevent it and how patients with lower bone density can still exercise safely.

Tanya offers 1:1 Pilates sessions and small group classes.
